    My 2019 Goals

    2018 is coming to an end, bringing in another new year. New Year’s is a popular time for people to set goals for themselves, re-evaluate their lives and sometimes change the direction they’re going. I’ve been setting goals for myself, and sharing them on blog, for several years now and this year is no exception (check out my 2018, 2017, and 2016 goals for some context). Compared to year past, my 2019 goals are looking different and I’m good with that.  I like say I’m setting goals rather than New Year’s Resolutions.     Gardening and Thrifting Fun

    Happy June! For the first time in my memory, I’m enjoying the warm, summer weather. It’s been the 80s the past few weeks and I was loving it, though I could do without the humidity. I consider myself a fall girl and have dreaded summer in years past. I’ve gone the past two summers without air conditioning and my hair expands larger in width by the minute during Minnesota’s humid summers.     Getting Ready to Party

    Fall officially begins on September 23 this year; the autumnal equinox.  For the past two years now I’ve been attending my boyfriend’s seasonal parties with the fall party being the biggest and the best.  Jake and his friends have been having these parties for the past four years or so and they’re the highlight of the seasons.  We’re having the party a few days early and I get to be a little more hands-on with the planning (yes, I’m all giddy on the inside about it), and today Jake and I start cleaning up his house and I did some shopping for the items we need.
