    There’s something about drinking a sweet iced cold drink in summer that is so satisfying. On cooler summer mornings I like bringing my laptop outside and enjoy a beverage in the backyard. Minnesota summers can get brutal fast though with high humidity and 90 degree days. On those days, I like having one of these drinks to keep cool and also stay on track with my macros.     Caught in the Cold

    I’m at home sick today which is a rare occurrence for me.  Generally speaking, I don’t get colds and if I do they don’t turn out to be that bad. Because I was up most of the night not being able to get sleep because of the congestion and sore throat, I decided to take a sick day to rest up, drink fluids, and cat nap.  A couple of people at work were sick last week, so I started to take action to keep the sickness at bay.  Didn’t completely work, but I still feel like my methods are good to know.     Tea Time

    As soon as the weather started cooling down I brought my Keurig back out so I could start drinking hot coffee again, but sometimes I really enjoy a cup of tea.  I love coffee, but even after drinking it for the past six years or so, I find that coffee can be too strong and bitter after more than two cups (sometimes even one cup).  I’m not breaking ground here by talking about my favorite teas because I have only ever purchased bagged tea.  I know that loose leaf tea is really the way to go, but I haven’t ventured into buying a coffee press or tea pot for that…
