    Favorite Products for Curly Hair

I’m finding that people really love to know what products work well for fellow curlies – including myself – and I think it’s because curly hair is often forgotten about. Nowadays I’ve embraced my big, curly hair and do get a lot of compliments on it, but growing up it was never like that. Once I stopped fighting my hair and learned how to care for my curls with these amazing products I’ve truly come to really enjoy my hair. Sure I still have days when I’m not happy with it, but who doesn’t have a bad hair day. I would love to see more people embracing their waves and curls so I’m going to…

Tuna and White Bean Salad | Recipe of the Week

A few weeks ago I prepped a bunch of salmon fillets and froze them for weeks that I didn’t feel like doing meal prep Sunday. Then Sunday came along and I didn’t feel like eating salmon – tuna it is. I’m still in process of incorporating chicken back into my diet – I started with basic grilled chicken and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet – so until then I still like to have fish prepped for days I need good protein macros and low carb macros. Salmon is my go-to, but I’ve kind of grown tired of it. Maybe I just need a new way to…

Packing for Vancouver | Outfits and Activities

I’m headed out for Vancouver! Jake and I are once again off to some more traveling – this time in Canada. Vancouver randomly popped into our heads a while back as a place to visit because it has lot to offer – a big city, shopping, the ocean, mountains. We’re really into adventures and exploring when on vacation, as opposed to touristy stuff – though I love at least seeing the touristy stuff when visiting. We planned to take a longer trip than some of our previous trips, a full six days, so packing proved a bit more challenging this time. Outfits  This vacation is the longest we’ve ever taken…

Vegetarian Quesadillas | Recipe of the Week

Sometimes you just need a good, melty quesadilla. I love getting quesadillas when I go out to eat, but I know they’re loaded with carbs and fats. Since I order vegetarian friendly quesadillas, they’re also usually lacking good protein. This week I wanted to challenge my standard quesadillas and make it macro friendly to fit my macros! After making this recipe, there are aspects I could change in the future to lower the calories and maybe fat macros, but overall I’m happy with this recipe and made it fit my macros for the day. what you’ll need 2 Mission Carb Balance Soft Taco Tortillas 50g Morningstar Griller Crumbles (or ground beef)…

    Egg “Bacon” Breakfast Bagel

I’ve been trying to step up my breakfast game lately, since I’m getting a little tired of protein shakes and egg whites. I switched back to maintenance calories a few weeks ago, and that also means I get a few more carbs for the day. Since I was mostly avoiding carbs in the mornings, I feel like I can squeak a few of those in for breakfast now. That being said, I still want to have a macro friendly breakfast that has a good amount of protein in it to start my day. Since egg whites are a sure way to get good protein macros in the morning I’m kind…
