    my curly hair essentials

Now that we’re in the hot, summer months, it’s time for an updated list of my essential curly hair products that keep the frizz away! These are products that are essential to my routine for perfect, frizz-free curls almost every time. Since my last post, I’ve added new products and techniques that have been game changers. For many months, I’ve been keeping things simple and letting my hair do what it wants. I rarely style it after it has dried, which helps keeps the frizz away. When I do style my hair, it’s usually down parted to the side, half up half down or in a top knot at the…

    My Favorite Athletic Clothes

I’ve been overhauling my athletic clothes and I think I’m finally at a good place! Going to the gym shouldn’t be a fashion show, but sometimes a good outfit makes the workout that much better. Plus it’s a confidence boost! When it comes to athletic clothes, I’ll admit that I don’t like to spend a ton of money. I definitely want the clothes to have quality and fit well, but at the end of the day I’m going to sweat and be rough in these clothes. Because that’s sometimes my mentality when shopping for workout clothes, it’s taken me a while to get to where I can grab any outfit…

    Favorite Protein Macro Caps

At the end of the day I usually have some extra room for carb macros and I do that on purpose – I like snacking. When I still have some protein macros left to for the day  I don’t feel so bad choosing foods that also have some extra carbs in the them. Here’s some of my favorite protein macro caps, including some side dish options and a dessert. Edamame | Edamame is not only delicious and fun to eat, but it’s an easy way to add in those final grams of protein for the day. Edamame is also a perfect side dish for almost any meal I make for dinner.…

    Friday Favorites | 3.4.16

Happy March! Glad you’re here for another Friday Favorites! BEAUTY  Cover Girl Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation | I’ve included this foundation in a foundation and base post in the past, but I’ve rediscovered it as a favorite over the past few weeks. It has just enough coverage for me, keeps me pretty matte, and is a great color match – 210 Medium Beige. I had been on the search for a lighter coverage base for the work week, and I do really enjoy the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer that I mentioned a few weeks back, but on the days I have plans in the evening after work I still prefer to wear…

Plan With Me | Gym Schedule, Meal Prep, Activities

To keep me on track with everything, I like to sit down at the beginning of every week and plan a schedule including gym days and my meal prep. I use my planner and weekly whiteboard to add a schedule, and get ready for meal prep Sunday. So come and plan with me for my weekly gym schedule, meal prep, and activities. PLANNER I have a basic Mead planner that I purchased during Back to School this past fall. It’s a standard 8 1/2” X 11” size which may be large for some, but I love having extra room to jot down notes and lists. I write my work schedule into the…

    My Favorite Eye Shadow Palettes

My top three eye shadow palettes in my collection come down to their quality and versatility. For me the two biggest factors in finding a perfect palette is if I can make a look out of it and if I’m able to travel with it. I’ve traveled with all of these palettes in the past year and they’re easy to work with when in morning when I’m getting ready for work. I know a lot of people are really into matte eye shadows and looks right now, but I haven’t been able to get into the trend. I enjoy having a variety of eye shadow textures in my palettes including a few good mattes for…
