    1.2.17 | First Meal Prep of 2017

Happy New Year! I started the year off not feeling the best – I didn’t make it to the gym on the first day of the year because I was feeling under the weather. But I didn’t let that keep me down. I made it a point to get to the gym on January 2 with a strong shoulder day and cardio session, and also started a cut. To be honest, I wasn’t planning to start my cut until February or March, but after considering my long term goal I decided to start the year off right and get into my dieting phase. I’m planning to cut through at least February,…

    Goodbye 2016

As I get older I swear time flies by even faster and 2016 has honestly been a blur. I’m writing this post a few days before Christmas and I keep thinking I still have two weeks left in 2016 to wrap up everything that’s on my to-do list. Wrong. I only have one week and Christmas day is completely booked with family events. Hopefully I can catch up on my list of things to do on my extra day off this week. Creating a Content Calendar

So I’m finally getting around to making a content calendar. Since I’ve been slacking a bit on the blog the past few weeks, I decided to sit down and pen out some ideas for the next few weeks, including some fall content. I’m going to continue posting a recipe of the week as long as I’m making one, but since fall is my favorite time of year I want to share my favorite activities, Minnesota’s beautiful fall colors, and share our new DIY fire pit perfect for fall evenings. For me the best way to do this is to start a content calendar to plan out blogs post and social media content. I…

    Recent Summer Favorites

I know it’s not officially summer yet, but I’m feeling summer and it’s in full swing in our house. Summer vacations can begin, more outdoor activities, dinners and barbecues on the patio. So many new things to do outside and more to come in the next few months. I have a few new things I’m loving including makeup items I want share! beauty Revlon Colorstay Foundation | My skin has been a wreck lately, if I’m being honest. I’m having so many issues with it and I’m working on getting it back to a better level. Part of the new issues I’m having with my skin is excess oil throughout the…

    Mid-Year Check In | 2016 Goals

A lot of people make New Year’s Resolutions for themselves at the turn of year, but I rarely hear anyone talking about their previous year’s resolutions and if they achieved them. Maybe some just forget what their resolutions were or maybe they aren’t looking to reflect on the past, but I enjoy looking back at goals I set for myself to see what I achieved and I what I can continue to improve upon. Lucky for me, I blogged all about my New Year’s Resolutions and My 2016 Fitness Goals, and I wanted to see how I’m doing so far now that nearly half the year is already over. I’m always…
