Duluth & Making the Move

Spread the love

I’m back! Duluth was awesome! Although I wish the weather would have been better and we could have stayed a bit longer on Sunday. We got up there Friday and the weather was beautiful that afternoon! I hadn’t been to Duluth in about 10 years so I was happy to be there and taking as many pictures as I could. That night we took it easy, only going out for dinner and quick drink.

Saturday we got up and almost missed our runners because we had the start time of the race wrong. The weather was less than idea, cold and rainy, but we still managed to get out and see the runners. We spent a bit of time at the local mall before going out for the evening when the weather cleared up for a good photo session. I was definitely in a vacation mood enjoying some drinks and unhealthy bar food.

I’m starting my move this weekend and I’m sure I’ll be very busy up until my vacation to San Francisco. I’m only doing a partial move this weekend with most of my belongings that I need to go to work and get ready everyday. In three weeks I’ll finish moving my large furniture items and finish up with deciding on what to keep and what to donate. Since I’m moving in with Jake who has a houseful of belongings already, we’re going to have to work out what to keep and how to organize everything together. We also have a few small house repairs to take care of and some painting to do. The most exciting of the house items is my new IKEA Alex drawer that I purchased this week! I can’t wait to put that thing together and organize the crap out of my makeup collection. Seriously, IKEA’s marketing department must love whoever posted that first makeup collection with their Alex drawers.

I’m working on some new blog posts ideas and continue writing every now and then when I have some time. Next weekend is the Fourth of July, a three-day weekend for me and I’ll spending time at my friend’s cabin roughing it in a tent for a few days. I hoping to still get another blog post up before next weekend, and especially before the San Francisco trip in two weeks!
