January Favorites 2017

We’re already wrapping up the first month of 2017 and headed straight into February. For this month’s favorites I have a lot of things that I’ve been wanting to share on my blog for two months, or more! A lot of these products I got around my birthday back in November and I haven’t had a chance to share them on my blog yet. Better late than never, right?

January Favorites 2017

Old Navy High-Neck Tanks | These simple tanks have become staples for both work outfits and on the weekends, plus they’re super flattering to my shoulders. Would it be weird to include my shoulders on a favorites list? Because they’re slowly becoming my favorite muscle to train and one my favorite physical features. Old Navy is always great for staple clothes that I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of.

Nike Bra | The bright one the left in the picture below is my new favorite sports bra and I also shared it my recent fitness clothing haul. I was in need of new sports bras at the turn of the year and both pictured are great (the other one is an Underarmour bra), but I’m especially loving the Nike one (similar to this one). I also mentioned these Old Navy mesh-paneled leggings which are super flattering! I recommend purchasing these compression style pants from Old Navy in a size up. I have a few pairs of athletic leggings from them in my normal small size and they fit perfectly, but these compression style leggings run a little more snug.

Feed Me Fight Me Donut Shorts | I got these shorts for my birthday back in November and I’ve wanted to include them in a favorites post since! These may be a bit over the top and I definitely walk through the gym thinking people are staring at me, but I still love these. Donuts, especially sprinkle donuts, are the absolute best so who wouldn’t love these. I have these in a medium, which I thought were going to be a good fit, but I probably should have exchanged them out for a small. I’m thinking these will be perfect for lounging around the house during the summer or even mowing the lawn (boo yard work).

Too Faced Chocolate Bar PaletteThe Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette are pretty high on the hype list in the makeup world so I avoided purchasing either one fearing they wouldn’t be worth it. I was happily surprised at how much I grabbed for this palette the first few weeks I had it and how well it works for everyday. The palette as the perfect variety of neutral, dramatic, and pops of color shades for what I like. I especially love that the White Chocolate shade is larger than the other shadows since it’s a color I use to set my eyelid primer. The palette is supposed to smell like chocolate, but honestly I think it smells more like vanilla or even just smells sweet. Either way, this is a good palette for the makeup lover who is more advanced but is working an office job looking for a no-brainer in the early morning hours.

Clinique Fig Pop | This was a birthday gift to myself after eyeing these blushes for a long time. I’m not going to lie, part of the reason that I wanted to try one these blushes is because of the beautiful flower inlay and clear packaging that I seem to really enjoy.  This is my first Clinique purchase and I’m happy with everything this product brings to the table. This shade Fig Pop is a satin almost dark peach color that is perfect for my light-medium skin color. I can see myself wearing this shade all year round, but it was especially flattering during the holidays.

Spiralizer | Finally on the list of my January favorites is my new Spiralizer I got for Christmas. I have used this every week since then I got it and I now have zucchinis as a staple on my grocery list. I’ve already shared some recipes using zucchini noodles including this macro-friendly shrimp scampi and simple zoodles with red sauce!
