I started the year out right by getting to OldNavy.com and ordering some new workout clothes. Part of my 2017 goals was to do an overhaul of my fitness clothes, because if I’m being honest I’m still wearing items that I had when I started working out over four years ago (yikes!). I really want to start purchasing better quality and more flattering fitting items that I genuinely love wearing to the gym. It’s sounds silly, but sometimes a few new and cute workout clothes can be all the motivation you need to get the gym and do a workout – a little tip for those of you who are working New Year’s fitness resolutions.
OldNavy.com is my go-to store for my day-to-day clothes, and usually they have a good selection of clothes for active wear. I’ve been nothing but completely satisfied shopping online with Old Navy because of their petite section, awesome deals and sales, and wonderful customer service. That’s not to say that I haven’t received items that didn’t fit, but Old Navy offers in-store returns for online orders which is a selling point for me. I ordered these items on New Year’s Day, and the following day nearly all of the items were on sale. No problem though! I called their customer service phone number and the representative did a price adjustment to all of the items, no questions asked. I ended up returning a few items from my original order, but I’m still happy with the finds.

Go-Dry Mid-Rise Compression Leggings | Love these! I got them in a size larger than my normal size, and they fit like a glove. I love the mesh paneling on these leggings, even though that’s kind of basic at the moment, but I don’t really care. I purchased the maroon color, which is no longer available on their website, but they also have a few other colors.
In addition to tanks and leggings, I’ve been on the hunt for new sports bras. It has taken me weeks to find sports bras that fit me comfortably and are worth the purchase. Maybe this falls under #fitgirlproblems, but I could not find a sports bra that fit around my chest and lat muscles comfortable. I searched all of the major athleisure stores (LuLu Lemon, Fabletics, Old Navy) and failed hard. I ended up doing a quick search on the Facebook group IIFYM Women and those girls recommended checking out Dick’s Sporting Goods. Finally, success! Not only did I find some good sports bras and leggings, but everything I purchased was on clearance. Seems like a lot of stores are doing semi-annual sales clearing out their stock for spring collections, so check out your local Dick’s Sporting Goods if you need a revamp like me.
Nike Sports Bras (similar to this one) | This bright purple bra is so comfortably and flattering that I want more. As I said, everything I purchased was on clearance so the items weren’t very organized and I wasn’t able to find another bra like this one. I’m going to look more into the Nike line and hopefully find a few more of this style.
Under Armour Armour Low Sports Bra | This bra is simple and super cute – I love the polka dot detailing. When I was on my search for sports bras, I stopped in my local Under Armour store but I didn’t see this style available for purchase.
Under Armour Cropped Leggings (similar to these) | I’m not usually one that likes to show off brands or labels, but these leggings were too cute to pass up with the pink writing along the calf.
Nike Cropped Leggings (similar to these) | I picked these off of the rack not thinking much of them until I put them on – these are some of the most flattering leggings I’ve ever worn. Along with the Nike sports bra I purchased, this is only the second Nike item I’ve purchased and I’m impressed.
Under Armour Surf Sandals | I picked these up for my gym bag to wear around the locker room or the showers. They have grippies on the top and bottom, which is perfect for slippery floors from the snow in winter.
This is just the start of my workout clothing overhaul. I still like to add some new sports bras and more fitted tanks to the mix in the next few months.
Thanks for stopping by!
