    Our Galtinburg & Knoxville Vacation

Back in August, we traveled to Gatlinburg for our first vacation together in over two years, and I’m just now getting around to sharing the details. I know, I know, way behind. Our schedules have been crazy ever since we got back and I haven’t been balancing it very well (obviously). I had intended on sharing this blog post shortly after we returned, but honestly time just got away from me. In total, our vacation was five days, spending three days in the Smoky Mountains, hiking and exploring Gatlinburg, and another two days in Knoxville eating good food and enjoying the up and coming city. This was our first time visiting…

    A Girls Weekend in Duluth

I recently had a girls weekend in Duluth and we had a blast! Duluth is a perfect city for a weekend getaway or even for a day trip. The last time I traveled to Duluth, I went solo to see a power lifting meet, and that was two summers ago. I’ve also been up there for Grandma’s Marathon, which is an experience in itself. If you’re in driving distance to Duluth, I definitely recommend it. Our trip start early Friday morning, we drove up early so had the majority of the day to explore. After we arrived, we were all hungry so we grabbed an early lunch at Grandma’s Restaurant,…

    A Weekend In Detroit

So I spent a weekend in Detroit a few weeks ago and I know what you’re thinking, “But why Detroit?” I know because that’s what everyone around me said when I said I was taking some vacation time. But that was the most fun that I’ve had in a really long time, and I honestly recommend checking it out for a weekend getaway. One of my cousins has been living in Detroit for a couple of years now and always wants family to visit! So finally me and my other cousin who lives in Chicago organized a cousins weekend in Detroit. I flew out on a Friday morning and my cousin…

    My Travel Bucket List

Over the past few years I’ve become a bit of a wanderlust. I took a few vacations growing up, but I’ve never really explored outside of my comfort zone. I spent a few vacations in Colorado when visiting family, went to Ireland for my high school’s band trip, and visited the Bahamas on a cruise – that’s about it. My first vacation in years was to Iceland back in January 2015 and I’ve been hooked ever since. Since then I’ve been lucky enough travel to San Francisco, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and various road trips. But I want more! I’ve always had a list of places I’ve wanted to travel to, and recently…

    Our Vancouver Vacation

I’m back from vacation in Vancouver! We spent six days in the northwest city that hosted the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Traveling is amazing and I hope that everyone gets the opportunity to do it so they can see other cities, countries, and how other cultures operate. This is going to be a long, picture heavy blog post – thanks to our friend on the trip that had a camera on him the whole time and took some of these amazing pictures. Our trip started very early the Sunday we departed – 3:15am wake up call and the flight out was before 7am. We had a five hour layover in Seattle…
